Ein gruß aus Halfing

It´s been almost 4 days since my journey to germany began and I´m glad to have written down all that has happened because these last few days have been a real blur with so many new things to take in! I arrived at 06.30 in frankfurt after spending 18:40 in the air with one break in singapore for just over 6 hours. Everything went surprisingly well. I thought I might have problems catching the train to rosenheim as it took what seemed like hours until I finally got my baggage from the airport but just my luck I found my train pretty quickly and once I got my second train to rosenheim I could relax. I´m still trying to settle in here at my new home for atleast a few weeks but so far I like it a lot. The Alps looked absolutely incredible and to shake off the jet lag I climbed the Heuberg which is one of the smaller mountains in the bavarian alps but that didn´t make it an easy climb, however the view from the summit was well worth the effort.

The people here are very friendly but it´s very hard for me to understand the dialect or even just normal Hoch Deutsch when it isn´t slowed down enough. On monday I went for a ride through the surrounding towns to the Chiemsee which is a large freshwater lake and takes about 4-5 hours to ride around but for me it was enough to ride to the lake and home.

Tommorrow we head to Italy for a week and we´ve spent the whole day planning which way to go, what to see and how long it´ll take so there hasn´t been much time for relaxing. I´m really anxious to start the road trip...
